Med Spa Packages, Memberships and Gift Vouchers in Nigeria: Sell the Course, Keep the Regulars, Win the Seasons
How Nigerian aesthetic clinics sell treatment packages upfront or in instalments, run monthly memberships, sell gift vouchers for Valentine's, Mother's Day, bridal season and December, and collect every naira without a notebook.
February 10th. Forty people ask about Valentine's gifts on Instagram. Your 'gift card' is a WhatsApp message saying 'show this at the front desk'.
- Twelve buyers transfer money and get a screenshot. Nobody records who bought what.
- Two of the screenshots are forwarded to friends. Three people arrive with the same voucher.
- A client paid for a six-session laser package in January. The front desk thinks she has two sessions left. She says four.
- Your membership clients pay when they remember. Four are three months behind. Nobody chased.
- In December, diaspora clients ask for bridal packages for weddings back home. You quote in chats and lose track.
- Packages, vouchers and memberships are the most predictable money a clinic can make, and they are the least organised.
How should a Nigerian med spa sell packages, memberships and gift vouchers?
As three different products with money attached. A package sells a full course, paid upfront or as a deposit plus instalments in Naira, with every session tracked so none is forgotten. A membership renews on its own every month, with member perks and a reminder before each renewal. Gift vouchers are sold directly, with a value, an expiry date and a one-use limit, and redeemed at booking, so the person who receives one becomes a new client. GrowUp Business runs all three, with invoices, reminders and receipts, and campaigns for Valentine's, Mother's Day, bridal season and December.
Packages, memberships and gift vouchers are the steadiest money an aesthetic clinic can make. They are paid before the treatment, they bring clients back on a schedule, and vouchers turn one client’s gift into a new client. In most Nigerian clinics they are also the most disorganised: sessions counted from memory, memberships paid when remembered, and vouchers that are screenshots.
Who this is really for
- The clinic selling courses that loses track of sessions and instalments.
- The owner who wants predictable monthly income before the month starts.
- The clinic that gets busy at Valentine’s, Mother’s Day and December and wants to be ready, not reactive.
Where your hours and money go
| Job | Who does it now | What runs it with a system |
|---|---|---|
| Counting package sessions | Memory and arguments | Client record with sessions done and left |
| Chasing membership payments | Nobody | Monthly invoice and reminder |
| Issuing gift vouchers | Screenshots | One-use codes with expiry |
| Seasonal campaigns | A last-minute post | Scheduled campaigns to the right list |

Where the journey breaks
| Stage | What usually goes wrong | What closes the gap |
|---|---|---|
| The package | Sold at a discount, paid in cash, sessions counted from memory. | A package product in Naira, upfront or deposit plus instalments. Sessions tracked on the client record; next-session reminders run on their own. |
| The membership | Monthly payments when the client remembers. | A recurring invoice every month with a reminder before. Who is paid up is on one screen. |
| The gift voucher | A screenshot that can be forwarded three times. | Sell gift vouchers with a value, a one-use limit and an expiry date. Redemptions are counted. |
| The season | An Instagram post on February 12th. | A campaign to the right list two weeks early: past gift buyers, members, clients due for maintenance. |
| The recipient | Uses the voucher and disappears. | The recipient becomes a client record with a follow-up after her first visit. |

What setting this up involves
- 01
List what you sell
Packages, membership tiers, voucher values. Price anchors many clinics use as of 2026 in Lagos: full body laser about N350,000, a Cosmelan peel package about N500,000, light peels N20,000 to N40,000.
- 02
Choose payment options
Upfront, or deposit plus instalments with dates.
- 03
Plan the seasons
Valentine's, Mother's Day, bridal season, December. Campaigns scheduled weeks ahead.
What GrowUp Business does not do
- GrowUp Business sells, invoices, reminds and records packages, memberships and vouchers in Naira with Paystack payments. It is not a lender; instalments are your own plan.
- Gift vouchers are digital, with values, limits and expiry dates. Printing a physical card for a client is your own design choice.
- Stock levels for retail products sit on your products. A warehouse system for consumables is a different job.
Common questions
Can clients pay for a package in instalments?
Yes. A deposit and dated instalments, each invoiced in Naira with a reminder before it is due. It is your own plan; GrowUp Business is not a lender.
How do gift vouchers work?
You sell gift vouchers directly, each with a value or percentage, a one-use limit and start and end dates, redeemed at booking. Each redemption is counted, so a forwarded screenshot cannot be used three times.
Do memberships renew automatically?
Yes. Memberships renew on their own every month with a reminder before each renewal. Who is paid up and who has lapsed is on one screen.
My staff will not track all this.
They do not have to. Sessions, renewals and redemptions are tracked on the record as they happen.
My clinic is too small for memberships.
Ten members paying monthly is predictable income that covers part of the rent before the month starts.
